Talk Yourself Better | Little, Brown

Talk Yourself Better: A Confused Person's Guide to Therapy, Counselling and Self-Help was published on 25th October 2018 by the Little, Brown imprint Robinson. It features a funny guide to talking therapy, as well as lighthearted Q&As about each mainstream type of therapy. It also contains insightful interviews with therapists and clients, including accounts from celebrities such as Stephen Fry, Charlie Brooker and David Baddiel, and currently has 22 5* reviews on Amazon.

The Times interviewed me about the book and wrote:

"It’s everything you didn’t know about therapy or were afraid to ask, but by no means the daunting read you might imagine. Sherine is also an award-winning comedian and writer for TV and radio, who has persuaded such people as Stephen Fry, David Baddiel and Dolly Alderton to write warts-and-all pieces for the book about their struggles with mental health."

The Atheist's Guide to Christmas

The Atheist's Guide to Christmas | HarperCollins

The Atheist's Guide to Christmas is a fun, upbeat celebrity charity anthology which I edited and compiled. Published in October 2009 by the HarperCollins imprint The Friday Project, it raised over £60,000 for the UK HIV charity Terrence Higgins Trust.

The book features contributions about being an atheist at Christmas (and how we can still enjoy the season) from non-religious celebrities including Richard Dawkins, Derren Brown, Brian Cox, Charlie Brooker, David Baddiel, Simon Le Bon, AC Grayling, Simon Singh, Ben Goldacre, Richard Herring, Natalie Haynes, Jenny Colgan and many other names from the worlds of entertainment and the arts. It became a bestseller and was covered in The Guardian and The Observer, while a US version of the book was published in 2010.

The full advance and all royalties were donated to THT.
